Lifehouse Church

About Us

A visit to the Life House

is more like coming to a family reunion than it is a traditional church service. We are a community of friends and family who love to spend time together! Our gatherings consist of an exuberant and intimate time of worship which is lead by our worship band. We also spend a portion of our time hearing a relevant and practical Bible based teaching.

In addition to our Sunday gathering, we also have many opportunities to connect and build friendships during the week such as; game nights, picnics, discussion groups, Bible studies and much more.

Our Story

Life House began in the fall of 2001 at Redeemer Community Church located in the Historic Highlands District of Denver Colorado. (3241 Lowell Blvd.) “The Life House” was created to serve the needs of young adults or career age individuals. Redeemer, being a ministry that is predominately a “fifty plus” congregation wanted to create a format that was “tailor fit” to the needs of young families and singles between the ages of twenty and forty years. The ministry began to meet as a leadership team in the fall of 2001 and launched its first service on a Saturday evening in October of the same year. This new ministry met under the direction of the Young Adult Pastors, Rodd and Rochelle Jaramillo. It was a hit!

As Life House grew it soon became apparent that there were too many needs to continue on a part time basis. So, our pastors asked the leadership of Redeemer to consider releasing them to the “Life House” as a full time ministry. After much prayer and consideration the leadership of Redeemer launched Pastor Rodd and Rochelle and a small team to plant “The Life House Church”. Our first service was held on February 2, 2003 at our first location which was a refurbished engine shop in Henderson Colorado with about fifty people in attendance. From that point on, Life House Ministries has been self sustaining and continues to grow. God immediately began to send many wonderful people to the church and soon an awesome team of leaders where knit together to serve the family of Life House.

In July of 2003 the Life House had its first baptism service where forty two of the Life House family members were baptized. Truly, it was an incredible experience seeing life infused into each person as they were baptized! Later that year in August, “Extreme” was introduced to the church as our student ministry as well as the “Life House 101” mid-week service. The New Year was kicked off with the integration of “Free-Market Small Groups”. This concept would allow every person to get involved in ministry by using their hobbies and personal interest’s as a means to connect others to a place that facilitates spiritual growth and development. In February 2005 the church moved from its primary location in Henderson to where we currently meet; the North Jeffco Community Center located in Arvada Colorado.

Today, The Life House Church has grown from approximately fifty people to about two hundred. Life House has been extraordinarily blessed since its inception and continues with its purpose to experience the life and love of God; celebrating our wonderful savior together as families are prepared and released into influential personal ministries.

In His Life there is peace, joy and happiness. At the Lifehouse, we also believe that each and every person is unique and has a distinct purpose. It is our mission to assist each and every person with in our church community to discover and fulfill this purpose, so that they can live out their dreams and enjoy life to the fullest.

Statement of Faith

The Holy Bible is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and is without error. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25,26)

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16,17; Matthew 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6)

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory. (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5;6 1 Timothy 2:5)

Man was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression he fell; his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of good works. (Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; Galatians 3:8; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 10:9,10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22)

Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Thus, through repentance we receive forgiveness of sins and appropriate salvation. (Act 2:21; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

The baptism in the Holy Spirit was given at the Pentecost. It is to empower the church to preach the gospel throughout the whole earth. (Joel 2:28; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 2:17; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 10:38; Acts 10:44-47;Acts 11:15-17; Acts 19:1-6)

The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church and to confirm the power of the Gospel. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters. (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 1 Corinthians 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10)

We believe that a new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We do not believe that water baptism is essential for salvation to occur, however, it is essential in our obedience toward Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:12; Acts 8:36-38; Acts 10:47,48)

We believe in spiritual, emotional, and physical healing that is provided to anyone who will appropriate it through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. (Psalms 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16,17; Mark 16:17,18; James 5:14,15; 1 Corinthians 12:28)
