1. Have you ever been lost or gotten off the path you thought you were on? How did it make you feel? How did you react?

2. Most people want to be in control of their own life. What are the pros and cons of being in total control of your own life?

3. How can this mindset hinder us in our walk with Jesus?

4. Read Proverbs 3:5-6. Take a few minutes and talk about what it means to trust in the Lord, not leaning on your own understanding. How can this help us in our faith journey?

5. Submitting what we want to God (and what God wants for our lives) can be difficult. Why do you think it is so tough for us to give over our desires to what God desires for us? What are the benefits to our submission to God’s will?
