  1. Do you ever feel like God has asked you to do something that feels counter to what you would expect? How did you feel about that?

  2. What were those situations, and what did you do in them?

  3. We are often put into situations where what we should do in honoring God will not bring any thanks or reciprocate blessing. How does this make you feel?

  4. What should our response be when God asks us to do something like this?

  5. You will tend to run toward what you believe will “love” you back. Take some time to list and discuss what some of our other lovers are (or could be) that will take us away from what God wants for us? How do we combat this?
