1. When you hear the word compassion, what comes to mind?  How does that understanding of the word inform how we act or behave?

2. As a Christian, how should it affect how we act or behave?

3. What are some of the reasons we give for helping or not helping someone in need? Make a list for both sides and spend some time comparing them.

4. When you look at all the situations in the world around us, you can feel helpless to do anything. How can understanding the compassion we have received from Jesus help us to show compassion to others?

5. What are some practical things you can do right now to begin doing something to show compassion to those around you?
