  1. What does “fandom” mean to you? Are you a part of any fandoms? Any entertainment, celebrities, or hobbies of which you’d call yourself a “big fan?”

  2. In biblical stories, we tend to think of idols as a literal image (like a golden statue) that people worship or bow down to. But what do you think idols look like for us today?

  3. Where do you think the line is between fandom and idolatry? What are some signs that being a fan of something has leaned too far into “idol” territory?

  4. What are some ways that we see spiritual battles happening in our lives? Fighting demons doesn’t look like it does in the movies, but how to we fight against spiritual forces that are tempting us or manipulating us in the real world?

  5. How do you worship God in your own time? Besides our Sunday morning services, in what ways do you intentionally create opportunities to show your full devotion and reverence to God?
