  1. Read Jeremiah 29:11-14. Take a few minutes to discuss those verses. What do they speak to you?

  2. From verses 12 & 13, what is the qualification God puts on those plans? How does that change the way you may view verse 11?

  3. We often categorize the different parts of God’s plan for our lives; we will allow him to work his plan in some areas but hold other areas back. Why do you think we are prone to do that? What are some of the areas that we tend to hold back?

  4. Relationships (particularly dating or our relationships with the opposite sex) seem to be one of the prime areas that we will hold back from God. Why do you think that one is so often neglected or held back? What are the potential ramifications of keeping that one to ourselves rather than putting it in God’s hands?

  5. What are some of the practical steps we can take to keep ourselves right in God’s plan for our relationships?
